Stormcrow: Wounded Skies

Catalog #: Dwell-1074
Release Date: 6/6/2006
Details:
In their campaign for world domination Dwell Records has signed black metal sickos Stormcrow to lead the first onslaught. Wounded Skies, the debut EP from the Italian quartet, is a terrifying blur of speed and scares. The protracted intro brings the listener in with dark and ominous atmospherics, coupled with the distant screams of a murder of crows. It is an admittance that lulls the listener into the onslaught that makes up the body of evil contained within. By the end, the listener will be left bloody and broken, bludgeoned and cowering in a dark corner. It is a sound that has as much to do with the lo-fi terror and dread of Darkthrone as it does with the velocity and precision of Dark Funeral and 1349. Stormcrow is the new, corpse-painted face of black metal. Starting 6/6/06, Wounded Skies will become the hatred-fueled soundtrack to Dwell’s New World Order.
